jada stands for unity

To All, In light of the grave moment that the Black Community is currently facing in the United States, jada wishes to express its utmost repudiation against all forms of racism, oppression, and marginalization. As a grassroots arts organization, jada believes in the invaluable power of positive individual action towards the greater good. Hence, at this moment, we take a clear stand against the violence, the intolerance, and the abuse of power that has been perpetrated against the Black Community in our country. jada defends an active participation in the making of new discourses for a future that best serves this generation. Therefore, to support the ideals of an artistically, socially, and economically prolific future, jada must first call out for the eradication of systemic racism, prejudice, and bigotry from society. jada acknowledges that this is a daunting task. However, positive actions by all can have an exponentially positive effect for all, swiftly and soon. We must all...

jada Welcomes Jamie Moshe Straz

jada formally invites architect, artist, and designer Jamie Moshe Straz to be part of its team of advisors. Jamie holds a Bachelors of Architecture degree from the University of Miami. He is best known for his community-oriented projects, and urban planning throughout the South Florida region. Jamie Straz lives in Miami Beach with his wife and children. jada’s invitation acknowledges that Jamie Straz has made important contributions to the goals of the organization, mainly through his insightful and momentous counseling. Such was the case in 2019, when he was an active participant in the small cohort of artists who spearheaded JADA Art Fair during Miami Art Week. Largely due to the instrumental influence of Straz, Jada was able to reclaim a vacant supermarket for its 8-day art fair and summit in North Miami Beach.  JADA COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT (AND WHY WE WILL THRIVE!) Greetings, We hope this message finds you and your loved ones healthy and safe! As of today, every industry, in every country, has been impacted by the coronavirus epidemic. Public life and all non-essential  businesses have been ordered to close, and our once high-speed lifestyle has been reduced to one of limited mobility, as we take shelter in quarantine. Yet, we know Art will thrive. In just a few weeks of lockdown, the world economy has already been greatly affected, with a weighted averaged hit of nearly 2% to the global GDP, and the Stock Market entering a sharp downturn that echoes the fallout of the 2008 Great Recession. Yet, we know Art will rise. Most tragically, as of today the coronavirus has claimed over 10,500 lives and infected over 256,000 individuals. The spread of the virus has not yet been contained and the death toll keeps on rising, as we fight a swift and invisible foe. Indeed, the world as we know it has...
